Did you know that giant octopuses lived millions of years ago? Scientists found fossils of these amazing sea animals. They lived at the same time as the dinosaurs. These old octopuses were very big, like a school bus! Usually, octopuses have soft bodies. Because of this, they do not easily become fossils. But they have hard mouths called jaws. Recently, scientists found these fossil jaws in Canada and Japan. They studied them to learn about the animal’s size. These giant animals swam in deep water.
